5 out of 5 stars - Hear the bark before the bite

The nature of this text, mirrors that of the cover. No one, or thing, can contain Vallee and his poems. Short, focused, punchy like the snap of the leash. Highly recommended and will look for the next edition!

5 out of 5 stars - Some of the poems are like a blunt force trauma

You will definitely understand why this collection is titled Off The Leash. Some of the poems are like a blunt force trauma, delivered in a clever and honest to the bone way. I highly recommend Off The Leash.

5 out of 5 stars - Off the Leash is a must read!!!!

Ryan Vallee's book "Off the Leash" is refreshing and eye opening! Vallee doesn't pull any punches as he leads us into his world, where pain and pleasure walk hand in hand. There is always darkness in life, but...... there are six notes to self, that he uses to remind himself and us that maybe, just maybe the dog can be tamed. I absolutely loved it!

5 out of 5 stars - Feel me. That's all I ask.

Ryan immediately asks you to feel him when reading his words and I did exactly that. Lately I haven't been in the mood to feel anything, because feeling is overwhelming, but I trusted him. Each page was beautifully written and there were times that I literally yelled out and cursed him. If you're thinking about purchasing this book, just stop thinking and do it. There's something for everyone in there.

Ryan Vallee was born, raised, and resides in Michigan. He remembers writing at a fairly early age, rewriting Guns & Roses songs to make his own. In a 6th grade English class, he learned poetry and for a class assignment, had to write about nature, and he wrote a poem titled "Tidal Wave". The teacher asked him to submit it to the school-wide writing contest, and so he did. It didn't win a prize, but it was then he realized he must be good at it.

Ryan wrote on and off for years, especially after high school and into his 20's, but eventually it tapered off as life caught up to him. Recently, at the urging of his friend, Laurie, to share some of his older work, it sparked that love of writing back to a forest fire, and he's been burning pages ever since. Publishing his debut, 'Off The Leash' is a dream come true, a feeling he will treasure forever.
