"Ask a poet if he loves you
He will write you a poem
Ask if he desires you
You will become his poem
Your skin becomes his canvas
Your sweat becomes his ink
Your heart becomes his Muse
Love your poet
You have nothing to lose"

Markus Fleischmann is a free thinker and writer who lives in Pennsylvania. 'A Tome of Musings', his first book of poetry, explores the heart of a moral being, love and heartache, joyfulness and sadness. His writing is a collection of thoughts and dreams and beautifully spun into verse and rhyme.

He wrote his first piece at the age of 16 and has been actively writing ever since. Markus began writing at such a young age to help combat peer pressure and depression, but he began to realize that there are more meaningful reasons found in his thoughts of love and heartache, sadness and hope, and felt by all at some time in life.   He wishes to connect with others through his words to show that there is no need to feel alone.

When Markus isn't writing, he spends his time planning future goals with his career, family and his writing and can be often found sitting under a shaded tree in deep thought pondering life and the human heart.
